To register your arranged marriage in the Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad region, follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the vivaha Registration अर्ज
Visit the official Sangli Miraj Kupwad Mahanagarpalika (SMKMC) :

Step 2: Prepare Required Documents
Ensure you have the following documents:
Application Form: Duly filled and signed by both Navara-Bayako.
Proof of Age: Janma Dakhala, Shala sodlycha dakhala, or passport for both parties.
Address Proof: Aadhar card, voter ID, passport, or utility bills for both parties.
Photographs: Two passport-sized photos of each party and one photograph of the marriage ceremony.
Lagna/vivaha Invitation Card: If available.
Lagna Pramanpatra from Pujari/Priest: If the Lagna was solemnized in a religious place, a Pramanpatra from the pujari/priest is required.

Step 4: Verification and Appointment
The Nibhadhak will verify all kagadpatre.
An appointment Tarikh will be scheduled for the registration.
Step 5: Marriage Registration Ceremony
On the appointed date, both parties and the witnesses must be present at the registrar's office.
Sign the Vivaha Nodani in the presence of the registrar.
The Vivaha certificate will be issued on the same day or within a few days.
Note: If your marriage was solemnized under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and both parties are Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, or Sikhs, you can register under this act.
